INDOOR MUSHROOM GROW KIT - by THE PURPLE MUSHROOM

Indoor Mushroom Grow Kit by The Purple Mushroom contains everything inside that you'll need to grow delicious gourmet mushrooms. Each kit weighs between 5.5-6.5lbs, is fully colonized and ready to fruit.

How long will it take to grow mushrooms?

Once you place the X as the opening, you can start to see pins "baby mushrooms"  in 3 -7 days depending on the variety.   Mushrooms will double in size daily - ready for harvest  between 8 -14 days.

How much water should I use?

You'll want to mist/spray your kit 2 to 3 times a day, more if your location is hot and dry.  You don't want your Mushroom Grow Kit to dry out . So make to sure to give your kit a good mist/spray.  Do not remove the plastic.

Where should I place my mushroom kit?

Mushroom's love humidity, so placing your kit nice humid spot would be ideal. Kitchen countertop, table or in a warm corner - NOT in direct sunlight or direct air flow from fan.

How do I harvest my mushrooms?

To harvest your delicious gourmet mushrooms, grab the cluster of mushrooms and just give a nice spin or you can use a knife.

Can I actually eat these mushrooms?

Yes! They are deliciously edible.  You should always cook your mushrooms thoroughly. Mushrooms have a compound called chitin, which is difficult for us to digest. However chitin breaks down with heat, which makes digesting  the mushroom easier. Fun fact - Chitin is  a major constituent of the exoskeleton, or external skeleton, of many arthropods such as insects, spiders, and crustaceans.
